Dispute resolution is the process of resolving a conflict or dispute between different parties either through litigation or other alternatives to legal action such as mediation, arbitration, or settlement negotiations. The most appropriate mode of resolution ultimately depends on the nature of the dispute as well as the client’s objectives.
We adopt a pragmatic, strategic and dynamic approach to helping our clients resolve their disputes by aligning ourselves with our client’s objectives and working together with them to chart the possible courses of action to achieve their desired outcome expeditiously, effectively and in a cost-efficient manner. We strive to avoid protracted and costly proceedings unless necessary by weighing our client’s commercial, reputational, and legal interests and risks.
Where legal action is warranted, our “gladiators in suits” have regularly appeared in the trial and appellate courts to represent our clients in a wide spectrum of disputes concerning intellectual property, franchise, commercial, contractual, and other related matters. We have also successfully represented our clients in obtaining interlocutory reliefs as well as leave to appeal to the Federal Court on complex and novel issues which has contributed towards the development of the Malaysian intellectual property laws.
